The product
The story behind MCG Maps is simple: it was built for firefighters by a firefighter who needed a straightforward way to see their location, use the incident maps they already receive, and mark the things that mattered in the field.
MCG Maps is built for the person carrying the map. Every Incident includes an online Topo Map, and supported GeoPDFs can be added as geographic overlays. Your location and Incident-wide Markers stay useful across those map surfaces, with descriptions, photos, and coordinates when they add context.
The goal is straightforward: provide a better personal situational-awareness reference without turning your phone into a GIS workstation or presenting MCG Maps as an incident-wide common operating picture.

The name reflects the idea behind the product: give people in the field the information and tools they actually need without burying them in everything they don't.
